The Kom el Shoqafa Catacombs
The Kom el Shoqafa Catacombs date back to the 2nd century AD, during the Roman era. Comprising three underground levels, the site is linked by a spiral staircase. The second level boasts numerous burial chambers and niches for interring the dead.
